What therapy can offer

Therapy offers you the opportunity to explore your life and make sense of where you are, so that you can make choices about how you live and feel more in charge of your life, even when things are difficult.

It can help you develop greater self-awareness and improve your relationships with yourself, with other people and with the world around you. It can also help you explore your values, meanings and beliefs, and work towards living the life you want to live, in whatever form that may take and despite the challenges that may arise.

For some people, therapy is also about addressing trauma, severe distress or experiences that continue to hold them back. It can provide a space for those experiences to be spoken about and witnessed, and to begin to find a way forward. I believe that healing and change are possible, even after the most painful life experiences.

The aim is not only to understand yourself more clearly, but to use that understanding to make choices, live your own life and relate differently to yourself, to others and to the world.
